CYO of Boston Performs at Lahey Clinic

MRI Quench at Lahey Clinic [Video]

This morning, Lahey Clinic quenched an older 1.5 MRI to make room for new, state-of-the-art 3T system at the Burlington facility. The scheduled quenching went off without a hitch. Non toxic cold helium vapor was released into the air for approximately one minute... that's the large cloud of white smoke you see in the video. The new MRI unit should be available to patients within 12 weeks. As always, we strive to provide all Lahey patients with the best technology available.

Can Coffee prevent Cancer? Lahey Clinic Urologist Reacts

According to the Harvard School of Public Health study, men who drink six or more cups of coffee daily had a 60% lower risk of developing lethal prostate cancer and 20% lower risk of developing any form of the disease. But six cups seems excessive, right? Good news. The study found even lighter consumption – up to three cups daily – was associated with a 30% lower risk of lethal prostate cancer. Lahey Clinic urologist, Dr. David Canes, is excited by the findings, but says he’s not going to start telling his patients to drink six cups of coffee a day just yet:
